Nyerere National Park

Here in Nyerere National Park, you might just fall in love with going on safari. Nyerere is, after all, home to one of the biggest lion populations in Africa. Lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, wildebeest – you’re almost guaranteed to see plenty of these. It’s also a good place to see African wild dogs and leopards, but these are definitely harder to find. Wherever you look, the backdrop to all these animals is always beautiful. The rocky hills rise over parts of the reserve, the Rufiji River is hippo-filled, and the lakes are fringed with palm trees.

Go looking for elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos and even African wild dogs in a classic southern Tanzanian landscape on a guided game drive through Nyerere.
