Day 1

Arusha

This is where all of your planning becomes a reality: your safari starts now. Tanzania is such a wonderful country when it comes to wildlife and beautiful landscapes. After we greet you and answer any questions you might have, we'll take great pleasure in taking you out and showing you what we mean.

You'll spend some time in Arusha, where there's always something happening. The endlessly busy streets are a fascinating performance in their own right, but the city also has clamorous markets, excellent museums and a fun food scene. Best of all, it's a window on local life that you just can't get out in the safari parks.

Day 2 to 4

Northern Serengeti National Park

Explore the Northern Serengeti and get to know one of the park's most beautiful corners. Wildlife viewing is excellent all through the year, but that is especially the case whenever the migration passes through. This is also the area of the park that sees the fewest visitors, which means you can enjoy the river, grasslands, rocky scenery and the animals without interruption.

Day 2, Serengeti National Park

There's no better place to go on safari than the Serengeti. Wildlife fills the Unesco-listed park, and it's especially known for big-cat sightings. The landscapes here are just as special, with acacia trees rising all across the savannah grass plains.

Western Serengeti National Park (Day 4)

In the Western Serengeti, you can expect to see plenty of animals (possibly including elephants and big cats) year-round, but especially when the migration is here.

Activities Day 2

Someone from our safari team will come and pick you up at your hotel.

Activity Day 3

Morining & evening

You'll be joining us in Northern Serengeti National Park for a guided game drive. It's a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see.

Activity Day 4

Morining & evening

You’ll go on a guided game drive looking for the wildlife of Western Serengeti National Park. Our guide will add so much to your understanding of what you see.

Accommodation Day 2 to 4

Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge

Lodge

Here in the Northern Serengeti, you'll love staying at Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge. The tented suites are huge and luxurious and each has its own private plunge pool. The whole lodge crawls across a hillside with views out over the plains. There's lots of wildlife, especially when the great migration passes through, and you can also enjoy fine dining, a massage center and a swimming pool.

Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

You’ll learn why magical Ngorongoro is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Cloud forests encircle the crater rim, and the view out across the caldera of this former volcano – quite apart from the altitude – will leave you gasping for air. Your drive down a steep trail carries you onto the crater floor where a unique wildlife offering is added to the sheer beauty of the experience. You’ll share the sunken ecosystem of the crater floor with hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos and hippos. An ecosystem that has formed in the crater in the millennia since the volcano wrought its terrible fury upon the land. It could just be one of your best safari days ever.

Activities Day 5

Early Morning

Let an expert guide introduce you to the many charms of Serengeti National Park on a guided game drive early this morning. There's no better safari experience than looking for big cats, elephants and more as you explore the Serengeti's grassy plains.

Mid morning

Transfer by Road, Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Accommodation Day 5

The Highlands

Tented camp

You can't help but be impressed by the modern approach to safari tents at the Highlands. The igloo-style tents sit atop stilts, surrounded by trees, with big views out over the Crater Highlands, close to Ngorongoro Crater. The service is exceptional, and the beautiful bathrooms, public areas, restaurant and public terraces are all part of the experience.
